Woodhouse Ridge
Artist Book
Woodhouse Ridge visually explores an area of woodlands in Leeds, West Yorkshire. Setting up the parameters of place allowed a freedom to utilise different methods of collecting from photography, soundscapes, drawings and objects from the area. Each element was designed, edited and sequenced through the book to create a visual narrative of the land and paths taken.

The Valley Awakes

The Valley Awakes gathers a series of images made during 2021-2022 in Pontypridd, Rhondda Cynon Taff, South Wales by photographer Lewis Brymner. As a newcomer to the area he would often explore the landscape on foot with his partner Emma, who was born and raised in the area. It was during these walks that he began to build a collection of photos that takes you around the valley through his eyes. From taking in the rolling green hills of the landscape, to everyday encounters with local cats, or a flock of jackdaws gathering in the valley during dusk, the valley was very much awake, and full of life.
